Delete your Tag account

Two ways to delete: from inside the app, or by emailing us if you can’t sign in.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (instant)

  1. Open Tag and sign in (web, iOS, or Android).
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to Delete account.
  4. Type your username to confirm and tap Delete my account permanently.

The account, profile, photos, posts, comments, friend links, messages, calendar entries, Pulse history, and any connected Spotify or Apple Music tokens are removed immediately. The change is irreversible.

Option 2 — Email us (we respond within 30 days)

If you can’t sign in (forgot password, lost device, account locked, minor without parent access), email [email protected] from the address tied to your account. Tell us your username if you remember it. We verify ownership before processing the request and confirm by reply when the account is gone.

What gets deleted

  • Profile (name, username, email, bio, theme, custom CSS, fonts).
  • All photos and videos you uploaded (avatar, profile slideshow, Personal Room photos, 24-hour memories).
  • Personal Room posts, comments, reactions, and Tags you created.
  • Direct messages and group conversations you participated in — removed from your view; recipients keep their copy of messages they received, the same way email works.
  • Friend connections, friend invites, and family-account links.
  • Calendar events and bearer-link calendar shares.
  • Pulse history, Wire feed subscriptions, and any Spotify / Apple Music tokens we stored.
  • Push-notification device registrations.
  • Login session tokens.

What we keep, and why

  • Trust & safety records.If your account was reported, blocked, or banned, an anonymized record of the action and its reason is kept so the same person can’t evade a ban with a new email.
  • Audit logs. Operator/admin actions taken on your account are kept in immutable audit logs (financial / compliance requirement). Logs reference your account by id; PII is purged.
  • Stripe records (if you ever paid).Tag’s side of the relationship is removed; Stripe keeps the payment receipt itself for tax and chargeback purposes per their privacy policy.

App and developer details
