Code of Conduct

Effective date: April 26, 2026

Published by Layer One IT Consultants LLC, in partnership with Ghostweave Labs LLCfor the Tag, You’re It mobile application and website (the “Service”). This Code of Conduct is adapted from widely used community frameworks, including the Contributor Covenant (v2.1) and the Mozilla Community Participation Guidelines, and is tailored to a consumer social platform.

1. Our pledge

We — the team behind Tag, You’re It and every person who uses the Service — pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community — one in which a person’s first social-media experience is something better than what came before.

2. Scope

This Code of Conduct applies:

  • To all surfaces of the Service: profiles, walls, comments, direct messages, ephemeral “24” posts, custom themes, optional Spotify listening indicators shared with friends, and any other user-generated content.
  • To all official spaces operated by Layer One IT Consultants LLC, including support email, our website, and any future official forums.
  • To conduct outside the Service when it is directed at members of this community, when it materially threatens the safety of another user, or when it reasonably impacts the trust and safety of the platform.

3. Our standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment:

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people.
  • Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences.
  • Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback.
  • Accepting responsibility, apologizing to those affected by mistakes, and learning from the experience.
  • Focusing on what is best not just for ourselves but for the overall community.

Examples of unacceptable behavior:

  • Sexualized language, imagery, or attention; sexual content directed at minors in any form.
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks aimed at people rather than ideas.
  • Public or private harassment, including sustained pile-ons.
  • Publishing others’ private information — physical or email address, phone number, government IDs, financial accounts, biometric data — without their explicit permission (“doxxing”).
  • Impersonation of another person, brand, or organization in a way that misleads.
  • Threats of violence or incitement of violence against any individual or group.
  • Encouraging suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.
  • Using the Service to coordinate criminal activity, fraud, or evasion of enforcement.
  • Other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a public, all-ages, professional setting.

4. Responsibilities

Layer One IT Consultants LLC is responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior, and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior that we deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

We have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject content, comments, profiles, and other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, and to communicate the reasons for moderation decisions when appropriate.

5. Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, you can report it through any of these channels:

  • The in-app “Report” action available on every post, comment, profile, and message. You may report anonymously; the reported account is not told who reported them.
  • Email to [email protected] for cases that need detail beyond the in-app form, or where you would like a written record of correspondence.
  • For child-safety concerns, including suspected child sexual exploitation, our Child Safety Standards describe an expedited path and our reporting obligations to NCMEC.

Reports are reviewed by trained members of our safety team. We will treat the identity of the reporter as confidential to the extent allowed by law and by the safety needs of the community.

6. Enforcement guidelines

We follow a graduated set of consequences for violations, scaled by severity, intent, history, and the nature of the harm. The framework below is adapted from the Contributor Covenant’s enforcement ladder.

6.1 Correction

Community impact: Use of inappropriate language or other behavior considered unprofessional or unwelcome.

Consequence: A private, written notice from a moderator, providing clarity around the nature of the violation and an explanation of why the behavior was inappropriate. A public apology may be requested.

6.2 Warning

Community impact: A violation through a single incident or series of actions.

Consequence: A warning with consequences for continued behavior. No interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction with those enforcing this Code, for a specified period of time. This includes avoiding interactions in community spaces as well as external channels. Violating these terms may lead to a temporary or permanent ban.

6.3 Temporary suspension

Community impact: A serious violation of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior.

Consequence: A temporary suspension from any sort of interaction or public communication with the community for a specified period of time. No public or private interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction with those enforcing this Code, is allowed during this period. Violating these terms may lead to a permanent ban.

6.4 Permanent ban

Community impact: Demonstrating a pattern of violation of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior, harassment of an individual, or aggression toward or disparagement of classes of individuals.

Consequence: A permanent ban from any sort of public interaction within the community.

6.5 Immediate removal

Some behaviors result in immediate, permanent removal on the first instance and may be referred to law enforcement. These include child sexual exploitation, credible threats of violence, non-consensual intimate imagery, coordinated platform manipulation, and material from designated terrorist or hate organizations promoted in support of those organizations.

7. Appeals

If we take action against your account or content and you believe we got it wrong, you can appeal. Appeals can be filed in-app under Settings → Account → Appeals, or by writing to [email protected]. Appeals are reviewed by a person who was not involved in the original decision. We aim to acknowledge appeals within 72 hours and to resolve them within two weeks; complex cases can take longer. Outcomes are explained in plain language with a citation to the specific rule.

8. Conflicts of interest

Members of the Layer One IT Consultants LLCteam who have a personal connection to a reported account — family, close friendship, business relationship — recuse themselves from review of that account’s reports. Where recusal is not possible (for example in a very small team), the conflict is documented in the moderation record and a second reviewer is brought in.

9. Relationship to other policies

This Code of Conduct is part of a set. Where it overlaps with our Community Standards or Child Safety Standards, the more specific document controls. Where it overlaps with our Terms of Service, the Terms govern the contractual relationship. Where it overlaps with our Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy governs how we collect and use information.

10. Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, available at contributor-covenant.org/version/2/1/code_of_conduct.html, and from the Mozilla Community Participation Guidelines. Community Impact Guidelines were inspired by Mozilla’s code of conduct enforcement ladder. The Contributor Covenant is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
